District (or Borough or City) Councils each draw up various strategic plans. They are required to produce a Local Development Framework which includes a number of land-use planning related documents. Included in this is the Core Strategy which sets out the vision, aims and strategy for spatial development in the district.

Each district council will have a Corporate Plan which highlights the key priorities the council itself wants to take action on. These will be useful background information about what is planned at district level.
