Further information for local organisers

Being a Local organiser for Ride and Stride is an easy job and involves promoting the event at one or more places of worship, ensuring the building is open for visitors, and encouraging members to participate in the Ride & Stride. More details about Ride and Stride 2012 on September 8th will be provided early in 2012.

  • Download the Local Organisers Briefing (2 sides of A4) or we will send you a copy. If you would like your church to be involved contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
  • Church stewards who welcome riders on the day can also be sponsored.
  • Money raised is split between the church or chapel nominated by the participant (75%) and CTfC (25%) to support places of worship.
  • Torver church took part in Ride and Stride for the first time in 2010 and to encourage others has written some tips for organisers.
  •  See also the Report on R&S 2010.

See these examples from 2011 of posters and sponsor forms and a 'Welcome and Sign In'  form for the day. The new versions available soon.
