Heritage Open Days is an annual event which celebrates England's architecture and culture by allowing visitors free access to interesting properties that are either not usually open, or would normally charge an entrance fee. It runs from 12-15 September, 2013. The list of events which includes those at places of worship in Cumbria is available from the summer online. Many churches get involved as it's a great way of advertising your beautiful building for free and encourage more people to visit. |
