Churches can make excellent venues for community meetings, and can provide a very special atmosphere for arts and cultural events or to launch new initiatives. Local people know the church as a local landmark. Many of Cumbria’s churches already have kitchen and toilet facilities, movable seating and can be surprisingly warm!
