Funding Sources

Successful funding applications take time and good planning. They should show clear evidence of need and the benefits they will bring.

Sources of funding constantly change, the following list should get you started.

Cumbria Voluntary Service – Offer funding advice and support.
Heritage Lottery Fund – Offer a range of grant programmes including Grants for Places of Worship and Community projects.
Historic England – Provide advice and guidance on the care of historic buildings including grant schemes and fundraising tips.
Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme – The Governments VAT recovery scheme for listed places of worship. /
National Churches Trust – Grant-making trust with other useful resources
Parish Resources – The Church of England’s National Stewardship & Resources team have produced a National List of Charitable Grants for Churches
